FAQ

What is the purpose of this simulator.

The chances of winning a lottery jackpot during your lifetime are almost zero. This simulator lets you put this to the test without spending a single penny.

Can this simulator help me win the lottery.

No. It only demonstrates the extreme unlikeliness of ever winning a big prize.

How accurate is this simulator and how are the numbers picked.

The numbers are generated using a PRNG (pseudorandom number generator) which is the same method used when you buy a Lucky Dip ticket.

Can I see what numbers win each prize.

Yes. Tick any Stop check box and the simulator will stop when that prize is won. The winning numbers will be highlighted.

Can I use my own lottery numbers.

Yes. Un-check Lucky Dip and enter your numbers directly by clicking each ball in turn.

I have run the simulator for hours but still not hit the jackpot.

If you leave the simulator running 24/7 at max speed, you should hit the jackpot about once every 38 hours. Playing the real lottery at 2 tickets per week, you should win the jackpot once every 134,459 years on average.

Why does the simulator stop running when I switch to another tab in my browser.

JavaScript stops running in background tabs in all browsers. The simulator must be in the active tab or a separate browser window to continue running.

The simulator runs slowly on my Tablet and Phone.

If you want to run the simulator at top speed use Chrome on a desktop or laptop pc.
